This is a comprehensive test of subdomain setup and forwarding using Godaddy's default parked nameservers, and PBwiki custom domains, as appropriate.

Godaddy

In Godaddy's DNS, it requires an A record, pointing to an IP address. It's currently set to the default (some Godaddy server). Since we're not supposed to use GeekISP's actual IP address, we'll leave this value alone. Instead, we'll use Domain Forwarding to forward this domain to www.brutsch.net. This may not work, if it forwards all traffic from brutsch.net, including subdomains. We'll see.

GeekISP

Used 'control_apache add brutsch.net' to add this domain. It has it's own DocumentRoot.

Expectations

Either

• Traffic to brutsch.net and only brutsch.net will be forwarded to www.brutsch.net . This is good.

or

• Traffic to brutsch.net and all subdomains will be forwarded to www.brutsch.net . This is bad.

In either case, the incoming traffic will use the apache host at DocumentRoot brutsch.net .

Tried using 'control_apache add www.brutsch.net' to add this domain. It failed. I assume that in GeekISP's vhost file, they have this pointing to brutsch.net .
